It’s the first decision you need to make when planning your trip – get it right, and you’ll have great weather, views of Mount Fuji and fewer crowds – get it wrong, and you could find yourself too hot to move or battling so many people you can’t!
In my opinion, the best times to go to Japan are during May, after Golden Week has finished. Or, late October and through November. At these points, the weather is generally good – not too hot, not too cold, not too rainy- and the crowds are generally lower
